DREAMS of Wilmington presents the Let’s
Get It Started annual fundraising event
on Saturday, October 13, at 6 p.m. at the
Hilton Wilmington Riverside. The event will
feature delectable gourmet food and wine,
original works by the center is teaching
artists, a live auction, a DJ dance party and
live student performances. For those that
only wish to attend the latter half of the
evening, guests can arrive at 7:30 p.m. for
dessert and dancing. Ticket reservations
include an individual reservation level 2 at
$35, an individual reservation at $75 and a
table host at $600, and can be purchased

AIRLIE GARDENS OYSTER
ROAST
Date: October 19, 2012
Location: Airlie Gardens
Airlie Gardens hosts its annual Oyster
Roast on October 19, from 6 -11 p.m. at the
beautiful garden grounds. While a ticket
guarantees each guest a peck of oysters,
garden goers will have the opportunity
to dine on savory Carolina BBQ and
mouthwatering fried fish. Sea Pans dazzle
the audience with smooth sounds during
the cocktail hour while guests can enjoy
the musical stylings of Heartbeat of Soul.
Tickets are $75 each and include a bucket
of bivalves and two beverages. Tickets can

ST. STAN’S 15TH ANNUAL
POLISH FESTIVAL
Date: November 3, 2012
Location: St. Stanislaus Catholic Church
St. Stanislaus Catholic Church will host its
15th annual Polish Festival from 11 a.m. to 5
p.m. on Saturday, November 3. The event has
always attracted thousands of visitors who
come to enjoy authentic Polish foods, drinks
and a vast assortment of desserts while
listening and dancing to the Polka Plus Band
of Raleigh. There will be a craft sale, a variety
of entertainment for children and festival
goers are invited to try their luck on the raffle.
The grand prize will be $2,000 in cash, with
second and third prizes of $1,000 and $500,
respectively. The event is free and there is
plenty of parking available in the church’s lot.
