KERRI K. DAVIS
Kerri Davis started small in 2007 — offering personal training
sessions to mostly moms and retirees in their homes. When
tough economic times hit the nation, she decided to go big-ger
and better instead of folding under the pressures of running a
small business. So, to enhance her ability to attract a diverse clien-tele,
she opened a studio and hired another trainer.
“Instead of downsizing, I began offering more services,” she
explains.
In addition to in-home or office sessions, she now offers one-on-one
and group sessions in the studio.
Fit to You’s clients enjoy personalized fitness and nutrition pro-grams,
and crafting these plans is equally enjoyable to Davis.
“The most rewarding part of helping people get fit and healthy is
seeing their self confidence soar,” she says.
She can customize workouts and schedules to fit any client’s
needs.
Fit to You contributes regularly to causes such as the American
Heart Association, March of Dimes and the Cape Fear Literacy
Council. And because Davis loves to stay active, she rides horses in
her spare time.
“It is a fun and challenging way to be active outside,” she says.
Davis is also training for her first half-marathon in November.
“It is so gratifying to make a living doing what I’m passionate
about and doing it on my own terms.”
