Day 1: Depart USA
Day 2: Paris
We enjoy a panoramic tour of the city while transferring to
the hotel. Upon arrival at our hotel, we check-in and have
the balance of the day at leisure. Tonight, we gather for a
Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3: Paris
After breakfast, we enjoy a full-day guided tour of Paris,
including Napoleon’s Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the
famous Louvre Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral.
Day 4: Paris • Giverny • Auvers-sur-Oise
After breakfast this morning, we depart Paris and transfer
to Giverny. Giverny was once home to Claude Monet. While
here, we enjoy a guided tour of the city, including Monet’s
home and gardens. We return to Paris, stopping en route in
Auvers-sur-Oise. Van Gough spent his last years in this quaint
town and depicted these settings in many of his paintings.
After our brief stop, we continue to Paris and dine together at
a local restaurant this evening.
Day 5: Paris/Cooking Class • Vaux-le-Vicomte
After breakfast, we board our motor coach and depart for our
cooking experience at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. After our meal
has been prepared, we enjoy our creations together for lunch.
This afternoon, we depart for Vaux-le-Vicomte, where we tour
the grounds of this exquisite castle.
Day 6: Paris • Versailles • Paris
Following breakfast this morning, we enjoy a half-day guided
excursion to Versailles, a magnificent chateau outside of
Paris that served as residence for several of the King Louis of
France.
Day 7: Paris/Leisure Day
After breakfast, we have a full day at leisure with our Paris
Visite Cards. Perhaps relax at a street-side café or shop among
the numerous trendy boutiques found along the Champs-Élysées,
a 17th century garden promenade-turned-avenue
connecting the Concorde and Arc de Triomphe. Lunch and
dinner are under our own arrangements.
Day 8: Paris/Leisure Day/Seine River Cruise
Another full day at leisure with our Paris Visite Cards for inde-pendent
sightseeing, shopping and relaxing. We are free to
explore the countless sights of this breathtaking city, such as
the lovely Luxembourg Gardens or Place de la Concorde, site
of the infamous guillotine. Tonight, we gather for a Farewell
Dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, we have a leisurely
cruise along the Seine River, viewing the sights of Paris beau-tifully
illuminated by the night sky.
