Day 1: Depart USA
Day 2: Paris — We enjoy a panoramic
tour of the city while transferring to the
hotel. Upon arrival at our hotel, we check-in
and have the balance of the day at leisure.
Tonight, we gather for a Welcome Dinner at a
local restaurant.
Day 3: Paris — After breakfast, we enjoy
a full-day guided tour of Paris, including
Napoleon’s Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower,
the famous Louvre Museum and Notre Dame
Cathedral.
Day 4: Paris • Giverny • Auvers-sur-Oise
After breakfast this morning, we depart Paris
and transfer to Giverny. Giverny was once
home to Claude Monet. While here, we enjoy
a guided tour of the city, including Monet’s
home and gardens. We return to Paris, stopping
en route in Auvers-sur-Oise. Van Gough
spent his last years in this quaint town and
depicted these settings in many of his paintings.
After our brief stop, we continue to Paris
and dine together at a local restaurant this
evening.
Day 5: Paris/Cooking Class • Vaux-le-
Vicomte — After breakfast, we board our
motor coach and depart for our cooking
experience at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. After
our meal has been prepared, we enjoy our
creations together for lunch. This afternoon,
we depart for Vaux-le-Vicomte, where we tour
the grounds of this exquisite castle.
Day 6: Paris • Versailles • Paris
Following breakfast this morning, we enjoy
a half-day guided excursion to Versailles, a
magnificent chateau outside of Paris that
served as residence for several of the King
Louis of France.
Day 7: Paris/Leisure Day — After
breakfast, we have a full day at leisure with
our Paris Visite Cards. Perhaps relax at a
street-side café or shop among the numerous
trendy boutiques found along the ChampsÉlysées,
a 17th century garden promenadeturned
avenue connecting the Concorde and
Arc de Triomphe. Lunch and dinner are under
our own arrangements.
Day 8: Paris/Leisure Day/Seine River
Cruise — Another full day at leisure with our
Paris Visite Cards for independent sightseeing,
shopping and relaxing. We are free to explore
the countless sights of this breathtaking
city, such as the lovely Luxembourg Gardens
or Place de la Concorde, site of the infamous
guillotine. Tonight, we gather for a Farewell
Dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, we
have a leisurely cruise along the Seine River,
viewing the sights of Paris beautifully illuminated
by the night sky.
Day 9: Depart for USA
