Tastemaker Bob Timberlake was inspired by the solitude found
on the back side of Figure Eight Island. There, Ligon Flynn
Architecture designed a home for the iconic North Carolinian
artist and furniture designer. Reinterpreted for new owners by
interior designer Sherry Black, the chambered nautilus floor-plan

studio for Miriam O, a playhouse for her family and a suite for
