Fish Tale
Thank you so much for your article featuring Sammy Corbett
(“A Fisherman’s Life,” July 2017). It is a rare thing these days for
commercial fisherman to be shown in a positive light, but you
did so with an entertaining and informative story. I hope that
other media outlets will follow your lead and tell it like it is!

Success Story
Working with the Community Resource Council at New
Hanover Correctional Center, I wanted to share my thoughts
regarding the article “Sowing Seeds” in the August edition.
Excellent information and a strong message of a success in a dif-ficult
area. A 92 percent success rate is outstanding. Back to the
“roots” is a great starting point. — Gerry Owens
In Thanks
What a lovely article you published about my artwork in
your magazine (“Artful Evolution,” August 2017). I am so
grateful to Kathryn Manis, writer, and Allison Potter, photogra-pher,
and to the editor of your well-read publication. I have so
enjoyed reading about the other artists you have covered, and
was honored to have my story among these. Thank you.

CORRECTION
Bitty & Beau’s Coffee employs more than 40 people with
an intellectual or developmental disability. We misstated
the number in our article about the Wilmington coffee
shop (“With Laughter & Coffee,” July 2017). Outside job
coaches do not assist employees in the coffee shop.
We would love to hear from you!
