High above
it all
A thousand feet into the sky blue above,
surveying the eccentricities of the big blue
below, from no other vantage point can
the full scope of nuances exhibited by
the ocean be appreciated. Through time,
wind and tide, the unique and varied
coastline, waterways and marsh creeks
have been reshaped and hewn by the artistry
of Mother Nature with little regard
for the devices of man. The coastal features
of today will be altered tomorrow,
if only by the shifting of a sandbar with
a brisk afternoon sea breeze. Take to the
air for a glimpse of this ever-changing
canvas high above it all.
