Pink Ribbon

At the Holiday Inn Resort at Wrightsville Beach, the New Hanover Regional
Medical Center Foundation will host events for the Pink Ribbon Project.
Since its inception in 1998, the Pink Ribbon Project has raised more than
$1.4 million to bring comfort and support to local women undergoing treatment
for cancer. Three opportunities to participate include breakfast, lunch and an
evening party with an artist and author, both of which will be announced soon.

Cape Fear Heart Walk

The Cape Fear Heart Walk, sponsored by local businesses, will take place on the
University of North Carolina Wilmington Athletic Fields in loving memory of Windell
Daniels and others who have lost their lives fighting heart disease. This year, more
than 1,500 walkers are expected to join 2012 chair Randy Tomsic, Wells Fargo Bank,
Wilmington Market President, in the fight against strokes and heart-related diseases.
