A clerestory loft and square windows admit natural light.
The fireplace mantel, staircase beam and kitchen hood
accent are reclaimed American chestnut wood from Dave’s
family farm in Pennsylvania. Heather’s home office is
accessed through vintage doors repurposed by the home-owners
and painted in Rust-Oleum Chalked Paint, Aged Gray.
“Heather’s got the eye, she does the design and then I’ve got to
execute one way or another,” Dave says.
Vintage doors open into Heather’s home office. The doors were
sanded, painted with chalk paint, and wooden panels replaced
with glass.
“I love a project and it was important for me to combine vintage
with new,” Heather says.
