Nearly 200 guests gathered
at the Coastline Convention
Center on November 1 to
participate in the March of
Dimes Signature Chef’s Auction.
The event showcased samplings
from local chefs and a live and
silent auction, raising $30,000
for medical research to improve
the health of babies born with
birth defects.

Celebrity Golf
Tournament
Around 400 people and more
than 40 celebrities participated
in the weekend-long events
surrounding the Willie Stargell
Celebrity Golf Tournament held
at the Country Club of Landfall
November 9-11. Event coordinator
Michelle Hackman says this year’s
tournament was the most well
attended in five years. The Willie
Stargell Foundation is still tallying
the amount of money raised for
kidney disease research.
