Ocean Rescue Challenge
Lifeguards prove themselves up to the task: Wrightsville Beach lifeguards Keith Nelson, front left, and Justin Tilley, front right, carry Tyler Brown with help from Syd Westra and Garrett Butner during the Ocean Rescue Challenge on May 27. The rescue race was just one part of the annual event that tests the guards physically and mentally before they take the stands for the summer season.
