Inspiration for the kitchen design began with the front
yard’s spectacular live oak showcased through black
framed windows. Concrete countertops by Mann’s
Creative Designs, a large island, and metal pendants
reflect industrial style. Floating shelves complement
distressed brick tile found in Brooklyn, NY.
Simple stained wood cabinetry and open shelving
reflect the warmth of the live oaks. Custom concrete
countertops and a large island bring in industrial
style.
“There’s a ton of space for my little ones to cook
and use, you can climb on it, jump on it, it’s inde-structible,”
Bendjy says.
Black framed windows are inspired by a
Brooklyn warehouse Bendjy spotted while visiting
her brother, and that city is also the source of the
distressed brick tile creating an impactful two-wall
backsplash.
