“This photo was taken while Wilmington firefighters
were doing some training off the Cape Fear Memorial
Bridge while it was closed for maintenance. This fire-fighter
is using these thin lines and a pulley system to
help him climb to the top of one of the ramps just off
the bridge. It was a long, arduous process as he was doing
it using his own strength.”
