After more than a decade of experience in the wedding
industry, Stephanie Douglas has returned to her
hometown of Wilmington as the new owner of
The Wedding Dress Shoppe, formerly owned by
Alan Perry of Perry’s Emporium. While planning
weddings in Asheville, Stephanie gained an
impeccable reputation, earning accolades, awards,
the respect of vendors and glowing reviews from her
brides, grooms and their families.
Stephanie plans on bringing her refreshing smile,
beautiful spirit and unwavering dedication to her
clients to The Wedding Dress Shoppe. “I love
what I do,” she says. “Being a part of one of
the most important days of people’s lives
takes a special person — you have to
consider all of the emotions going on in
the bride’s head, and I get that. To this
day I still keep in touch with former
