The North Carolina Coastal
Federation held a gathering on
Thursday, June 6 at the home of
Robert and Julia Prewitt on
Wrightsville Beach. About 40 people
attended the event announcing the
opening of the new Coastal Education
Center and office. Refreshments and
a presentation about what the new
center will provide for the community
were offered to guests.
WARM’S
THIRD ANNUAL
“RAISE THE ROOF”
GALA
The Wilmington Area Rebuilding
Ministry (WARM) hosted its third annual
“Raise the Roof” Gala on Friday, June 21
at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort
Fisher. About 225 people wore their
best elegant island wear for a “Night at
the Aquarium.” Cocktails and food were
provided for guests. A live and silent
auction raised funds for WARM’s build-ing
projects.
