Clockwise from right: Stingrays have few natural
predators. They use their flattened bodies to hide on
the sea floor. Sand tiger sharks have one of the lowest
reproduction rates of all sharks, making them susceptible
to even minimal population pressure. Thus, it is listed as
vulnerable and protected in a majority of its range. Only
the largest marine predators such as tiger, hammerhead
and bull sharks would attempt to attack manta rays.
