Stepping into Brasserie du Soleil is like stepping off the streets of Paris into your favorite local cafe. This French-style restaurant serves gourmet cuisine in a friendly inviting atmosphere. Chef Tripp Engle says that Brasseries most popular dish has always been the sauted flounder. Local flounder is filleted and lightly dusted with salt pepper and wondra flour cooked in a cast-iron pan finished in the oven and served with a brown butter sauce for “an amber golden color that gives it a nutty taste.”
