This 250-year old ancient live oak tree at Brookgreen Gardens is
draped in Spanish moss by day and thousands of light strings during
the Nights of A Thousand Candles. Located in Brookgreen’s Live Oak
Allée, the tree was planted with others in the 1700s when the former
plantation rice fields were cultivated.
