ASHIMMERING WHITE LIGHT appears on the bank
of the Intracoastal Waterway. It’s a beacon for mari-ners
traveling north or south through the Heide Trask
Drawbridge in Wrightsville Beach. But the all-white
illuminated Christmas tree positioned beneath the gazebo
of Chris and Alisa Ward’s Summer Rest Road property is
more like the Wise Men’s star in the east for Alisa. It’s a
sign pointing to her favorite time of the year.
