This free event recognizes and thanks hundreds of community donors who give so generously to the local community through United Way. With 125 in attendance, the 2014 campaign was kicked off by Ed Murray Sr., vice president of human resources at PPD and 2014-15 campaign chairman, who encouraged local businesses and individuals to find ways to get involved, run workplace campaigns and continue to support those who desperately need help in the Cape Fear region. Attendees enjoyed heavy hors d’oeuvres from Middle of the Island, live music by Mo’Sol and raffle prizes.
