Sunny, beautiful, full of backyard barbecues, block parties and family gatherings, flags flying and bunting hanging — it’s just a wonderful American patriotic month.
Understandably, we have plenty of water stories, including that of Laurel Senick, a local surfer who went on to do videos and now a book.
We have an update on what’s going on out at Frying Pan Tower, and photos that will put you there. My only concern would be the ride from the boat on the surface of the water up to the livable part, and then back down to the boat when it was time to swim, snorkel or leave. It’s not one for people who have issues with heights, but, oh my, the views.
To celebrate our nation’s birthday, we have a story about a resting place for veterans out at sea. I believe it would make them happy to continue serving in such a grand place. Does anybody else wonder why we don’t have a Veterans Month instead of just a single Veterans Day?

Our Home of Distinction is on the water. Owned by Tammy and John Tinney, it is filled with so many collectibles. The spectacular Futch Creek lot also has the most covetable oyster shack you’ve ever seen. Personally, it’s about my speed for a year-round house.
