For decades Wrightsville area churches have joined forces to worship together on the strand in a celebration of the resurrec-tion
of Jesus Christ. Rain or shine, congregations from Little Chapel on the Boardwalk Presbyterian Church, Wrightsville United
Methodist Church, Wrightsville Beach Baptist Church, St. Therese Catholic Church and Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church
gather for an Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. on the beach at the end of East Oxford Street, Public Beach Access No. 19. This
year’s service is scheduled for April 12, but may be cancelled in compliance with church, local, state and federal coronavirus
guidelines. If the event is cancelled, create a new tradition by celebrating with your family (in groups of 10 or less) in the safety
of your own home and join with others around the world via the internet. — WBM Staff
