80 WBM march 2014 AZALEA FESTIVAL KICK-OFF PARTY Hilton Wilmington Riverside The Annual Azalea Festival Kick-off Party was a huge hit this year, with tickets selling out early. Celebrating “Southern Style,” more than 800 people enjoyed the music styles of Sleeping Booty on January 17 in the grand ballroom of the Hilton Wilmington Riverside. Heavy hors d’oeuvres were served alongside a cash bar. Spirits continue to grow for Wilmington’s famous Azalea Festival. FOUNDER’S GALA Air Wilmington Hangar Held in the Air Wilmington Hangar, the New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Founder’s Gala is known for its sophisticated decorations. This year’s deep red tones and bright white flowers impressed all in attendance. Dressed in their finest, guests walked the red carpet, dined on catered food and danced to live music on January 25.
