More than 350 preregis-tered attendees explored the yachts on display, sampled gourmet food and listened to live music from L-Shape Lot. Sales of entrance and raffle tickets raised an estimated $50,000 toward upgrading the museum’s exhibits, enhancing the facility and subsidizing museum memberships for children needing financial assistance. PHOTOS BY EMMY ERRANTE SHUCKING AND JIVING AT AIRLIE GARDENS On Friday, October 17, about 600 people attended the 2014 Airlie Gardens Oyster Roast, dining on buckets of oysters, mingling with friends, and listening to live music provided by Heartbeat of Soul. Ticket sales for the event raised more than $45,000 benefitting the Airlie Gardens environmental education program; the event also raised awareness for environmental issues affecting the 67-acre garden’s future, particularly the restoration of Bradley Creek’s water quality.
