For Masonboro Island
A Wrightsville Beach without the scenic beauty of the uninhabited Masonboro
Island would cease to be the special place many hold dear to their hearts. FOR
Masonboro, a group of fundraisers dedicated to the preservation of the island held
its second annual gala on Sunday, October 16, at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort.
Around $14,000 was collected to establish a trust fund so that the stewardship of
Masonboro Island can be well funded for years to come.
