social seens 97 1 2 www.wrightsvillebeachmagazine.com WBM PIPELINE TO A CURE AUGUST 2 Sponsored by the George and Cynthia Mitchell Foundation, Pipeline to a Cure bridged the connection between surfing and cystic fibrosis, raising awareness and $117,000 in funds for CF research. Three hundred gala guests mingled with Hawaiian big wave surfer, standup paddler and Pipeline to a Cure volun-teer Dave Kalama; double lung trans-plant honoree Howell Graham; and pulmonary disease specialist and guest speaker Dr. Scott Donaldson. Funds raised during live and silent auctions benefitted the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Carolinas Chapter. Dinner was catered by and served at the Country Club of Landfall; Jack Jack 180 entertained.
