is a popular place for locals and a dinner destination for new and returning tourists. Executive Chef Brent Poteat has won a multitude of awards for his food but perhaps his most popular dish is his Shrimp and Grits which won “Best All-Around Flavor” in the Taste of Wilmington Food & Wine Festival. Poteat gets his grits from a stone-ground mill thats been in business for 110 years and then he makes magic. “I change the dish daily ” says Poteat. “Sometimes Ill make barbecue shrimp and grits or Ill make it in a Georgia-style Brunswick stew and when I make a Thai sauce Ill do Thai Shrimp and Grits.” If you have a favorite style of 22 North shrimp and grits call Poteat the day before you come in and hell be happy to cook it up for you.
