Former Miss America Ericka Dunlap 2013 Azalea Festival Queen presides over the opening of the Cape Fear Garden Clubs Diamond Jubilee Azalea Garden Tour. Showcasing 13 gardens April 12-14 the ribbon cutting festivities return to Forest Hills once more this year. Staged at the home and gardens of Lance and Meredith Lewis the Federal Style brick house and spacious grounds are the perfect backdrop for the queen and her court the garden clubs antebellum Azalea Belles and The Citadels Summerall Guards. Tour funds support beautification efforts recognized annually by the CFGC through its grant program. Tour admission is $20 with tickets available at various local garden centers and online at www.capefeargardenclub.org
