Libertas, a restored Hinckley, is John McCauleys new toy. In ten minutes he can pull the covers, untie the lines and shove off, pick up guests for a picnic styled by Dawn Moffitt Design and a menu of hors doeuvres prepared by Dockside chef Scott Grimm.
 
 
 
Inspired by New Englands rocky seacoast, this rambling Shingle Style home was adapted for its marshy setting on North Carolinas Intracoastal Waterway where Nantucket makes Landfall. Anchored by an octagon, the design was a creative challenge for one of its homeowners, also its interior designer.
Kindred spirits meet by chance during an auction. What happens next? Architect Chip Hemingway teaches novelist Clyde Edgerton to paint en plein air. With shared talents for storytelling and music, this pair is bound for creation.
