Savor - Signature Dish: Jones Fish Campby M.K. Barnes March 2010
The expansive body of a hammerhead shark and a nautical interior reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century boat house gives Jones Fish Camp (7770 Market Street, 910-687-1000) an authentic, off-the-boat ambiance that complements the fabulous food. Located in the former Wahoo Willies, their signature dish, the seafood platter, offers a choice of four, fresh-seafood items and two sides. "We offer 10-12 different freshly prepared sides, from okra and mashed potatoes to baked sweet potatoes," says owner and chef Ed Jones. With platters starting at $11.95, Jones Fish Camp is definitely a catch.
